1. Jasprit Bumrah
Jasprit Bumrah is the backbone of MI’s bowling attack. In his 10 years of IPL journey, the MI stalwart has delivered numerous match-winning performances to his IPL franchise. The dashing speedster has claimed 145 wickets in 120 matches at an economy of 7.39 playing 10 IPL seasons.
In the previous IPL edition, MI fans were elated to witness him being paired with Jofra Archer but the England quick couldn’t serve his IPL franchise as he didn’t completely recover from the elbow injury he sustained in 2021. However, without Archer, Bumrah played his role excellently and took 15 wickets for the team in 14 games at an economy of 7.18.
This year, MI supporters were looking forward to seeing the Bumrah-Archer duo in action but the chances of it happening in the upcoming competition have diminished. Prior to the forthcoming marquee event, MI are hesitating to comment on the senior pro's availability for the T20 extravaganza due to the back problem he got in 2022.
