9. Kyle Jamieson
After missing the 2022 IPL season, Kyle Jamieson had become part of CSK in the 2023 IPL auction. He got picked at the 2023 event for his base price of INR 1 crore to play in the 2023 edition, however, the Kiwi pacer won’t be able to deliver services to his team due to his lower-back injury.
The franchise has signed South Africa quick Sisanda Magala as Jamieson's replacement. In the 2021 edition of the IPL, he was the second-most expensive player at the event, getting fetched at INR 15 crore by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). However, he couldn’t justify his price with his performance in the tournament.
Clinching nine wickets in nine games at an expensive economy of 9.60, he couldn’t convince RCB management to retain him for the 2022 season. After getting released by three-time IPL runners-up, he didn’t participate in IPL 2022 mega-auction to spend time at his home and work on his game.
