4. Devdutt Padikkal
Rajasthan Royals (RR) are performing extremely well in the tournament. With four victories and three losses, they are second on the points table. Between these positive scenes, Devdutt Padikkal’s horrendous figures are not getting much attention. In the huge game against the defending champions Gujarat Titans (GT), he played as an Impact Player but failed to create any impact on the match for his team.
While pursuing a target of 178, RR lost their openers within the first three overs. After the fall of Jos Buttler, Padikkal arrived at the crease; this was a perfect opportunity for him to show his muscle power. In spite of doing that, he looked timid against GT bowlers and played slow innings of 26 off 25.
Against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), he made the matter complicated for Royal again with his 26 off 21. Despite getting a chance in the team in back-to-back games, Padikkal has got unsuccess to be among the runs.
