6. Riyan Parag
Despite receiving the unwavering support from Rajasthan Royals (RR), Riyan Parag is delivering underwhelming numbers to the team. Playing against the Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans (GT), the RR team management sent him to bat at number five to pursue 178.
With the fall of three wickets in quick succession, Parag’s role was to stand and support his captain Sanju Samson, but the right-handed batter played a reckless shot against Rashid Khan and got caught at long-off by David Miller. His string of failures continued in the next contest against Lucknow Super Giants as well.
This time, the RR batter faced fierce criticism for his slow unbeaten 15-run off 12 balls. While chasing the low total of 155, he was expected to show maturity and take the team home, but the 21-year-old never looked confident to pull off the chase.
