Washington Sundar is an essential part of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) squad. His ability to contribute in all departments of the game makes him a valuable player in the team. However, the youngster hasn’t attained success in utilising any of his all-round qualities to help SRH this season.

At the iconic Eden Gardens, SRH grabbed a 23-run triumph against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), but Washington couldn’t do wonders as an Impact Player, going wicketless and giving 20 runs in his two-over spell. His non-performance didn’t affect his team, as Sunrisers comfortably emerged victorious in the end.

The same didn’t happen in the big clash against Mumbai Indians (MI). Playing against five-time champions, Sundar delivered an economical spell, but his wicket drought didn’t end as he failed to scalp any wickets. While going after 193, Sundar came out to bat at number nine. With 44 required from 20, Sundar was required to deliver fireworks to his team to get away with the match. However, the 23-year-old crumbled under pressure and went back to the pavilion scoring only ten off six.
