Compared to other sources of income, prize money is smaller than other sources of profit. In the maiden IPL season, Rajasthan Royals became the first franchise to bag the prize money of INR 4.8 crore. However, MI are the franchise who have won prize money most of the time with its five title triumphs.

In 2013, they became champions for the first time after beating Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Along with the IPL trophy, they got a hefty amount of INR 10 crore as well. After 2013, they repeated their magic in 2015 again and this time, they took home a whopping prize money of INR 15 crore.

So far, they have obtained INR 75 crore through their emphatic five title victories. The Men in Blue won their last title in 2020 by vanquishing Delhi Capitals (DC), at the Dubai International Stadium. This time, prize money was reduced to INR 10 crore due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
