IPL 2023: Predicting where each team will end up on the points table

1. Rajasthan Royals

Rajasthan Royals were phenomenal in the 15th edition of the lucrative T20 tournament and finished in the runners-up position. RR have stuck with their core players for the coming and added the likes of Jason Holder, Adam Zampa, and Joe Root at the auction to improve the team's depth. Therefore, they are expected to reach the playoffs with ease in IPL 2023.

Yuzvendra Chahal was the highest wicket-taker in IPL 2022 while Jos Buttler was the leading run-getter of the previous edition. Though it will be tough for the two key RR players to replicate the feat, they have all the class in the world to thrive in the IPL arena and yet again set the tournament on fire with their exploits on the field.

Buttler, Sanju Samson, and Shimron Hetmyer would again need to do the heavy-lifting on the batting front. However, Yashavi Jaiswal and Riyan Parag will enter the tournament at the back of a sensational domestic season and they could also make it big in the 2023 season.

On the bowling front, they have the likes of Trent Boult, Obed McCoy, Holder, Kuldeep Sen and Navdeep Saini in the pace department. And talking about the spin-bowling stocks, barring Chahal and Zampa, they have Ravichandran Ashwin and Murugan in the mix. Thus, Rajasthan has most of the bases covered and hence, they could be one of the contenders to finish at the top of the table.
