8. Mumbai Indians
The 5-time champions were not in the groove at all in the IPL 2022 as we don’t see MI finishing at the bottom of the table very often. Skipper Rohit Sharma didn't look to be in tune for Mumbai Indians last year but will have to bounce back this time around as his performance will be a big factor in Mumbai qualifying for the playoffs. Rohit Sharma will be seen opening the innings along with Ishan Kishan which will enable him to take his time and play a few balls before going all guns blazing.
Mumbai have an ideal No.3 in the form of Surya Kumar Yadav, who is expected to play a crucial role in MI's run. They will also be keen to play Cameron Green who can bat in the power-play with a strike rate of nearly 140 and can give them a few overs in the middle with the ball. They can choose between Tilak Verma and Tim David to fill in the no.5 and no.6. There are also players like Tristan Stubbs and Dewald Brevis who will also be available for them.
MI have a proper top six but will have to look for combinations to sort out the lower middle-order concerns. On a scale of 1-10, this batting lineup can be given 7 / 10.
