Axar Patel saved the day once again for Delhi Capitals. His all-round show in a rain-delayed game made sure Delhi had their first win after five consecutive defeats this season. The left-arm spinner was spot-on from his very first over.

A few arm balls and then trapping Mandeep Singh playing a ramp shot, spoke volumes of his caliber. And then in his third over, his accuracy forced KKR star batter Rinku Singh to try something new and it led to the end of the latter.

When Warner was going strong, Axar hardly knew that he would have to come to bat and take his team through. But the situation arose when Warner got out to Varun Chakravarthy. Axar came and negotiated the over to nullify Varun's threat. He kept the scorecard ticking but the situation got tricky when he lost Manish Pandey and Aman Khan in a span of three balls. But he held his nerves.

He got beaten quite a few times but stood tall on a track that was assisting spinners. His heroics gave DC some oxygen to survive and helped them win the game.
