4. Marcus Stoinis 72 vs Punjab Kings (Match 38)
On a belter track, Lucknow Super Giants ended up putting a mammoth score of 257 runs on the board. Marcus Stoinis stole the show for them. LSG had suffered a heartbreaking defeat against Punjab Kings earlier in the season. And in match no. 38 LSG came back with a thumping victory.
Coming to bat at number four, he constructed his innings nicely. Stoinis didn't overdo anything. He picked his bowlers smartly and attacked them whenever it was there to hit. Some shots he played were exemplary.
He got out scoring 72 off 40. His partnership with Ayush Badoni and later with Nicholas Pooran helped LSG to reach such a mammoth score. Stoinis carried this confidence into his bowling. He got Shikhar Dhawan out in the very first over of PBKS' innings. Stoinis’s form in the ongoing season has been crucial for LSG.
