Devon Conway has been in sensational batting form. In the fixture against Rajasthan just before Chennai took on Punjab in match 41, Conway had got out cheaply and could only manage 8. So, he made up for that failure in the match against Punjab Kings at Chepauk on April 30.

With Ruturaj, he gave another solid start. Conway kept on complementing Ruturaj, who’s been struggling with his form of late.

During his unbeaten knock, Conway started off with aerial shots. On a slow pitch, he showed perseverance in handling the PBKS spinners. During the middle overs, he bossed PBKS spinners to take the score forward. Meanwhile, CSK kept sending left-handers to nullify Rahul Chahar's threat. He has innovated his T20 batting skill in such a way that he succeeds in all conditions.

Devon is more of a traditionalist than a power hitter. He knows how to pace a T20 innings pretty well. For CSK, he is scoring the bulk of the runs, providing assurance to MS Dhoni. The Kiwi batter is spending more time on Indian pitches which will benefit him later this year in the ODI World Cup.
