Certain bowlers were exceptional with their performances in the second week of IPL 2023.
3. Ravindra Jadeja vs Mumbai Indians (4-0-20-3)
Mumbai Indians squared off against Chennai Super Kings in the 12th match of IPL 2023 at the Wankhede Stadium. Chennai won the toss and opted to field. Mumbai had an outstanding powerplay and hammered 61 runs in six overs at a loss of one wicket.
MS Dhoni needed players to raise their hands and provide a breakthrough. The CSK skipper handed the ball to Ravindra Jadeja and the ace all-rounder struck in his very first over, getting rid of Ishan Kishan. In his following overs, the 34-year-old also dismissed Cameron Green and Tilak Varma.
Mitchell Santner complemented Jadeja beautifully and bagged two wickets. Courtesy of the bowling displays from the ace spinners, MI could only manage 157 runs in 20 overs. CSK in response chased down the total in 18.1 overs with seven wickets in hand.
