In T20 cricket, the art of amassing runs rapidly should be developed among batters to gain success. In a massive T20 league such as the Indian Premier League (IPL), it becomes even more crucial as several times, batters face situations when they are often required to keep the run-rate high to survive in matches. During those instances, it becomes mandatory for batters to go ballistic against bowlers to have control in contests.

In the last 15 installments of the IPL, many players have displayed their brilliance with their hard-hitting capabilities. However, some have maintained consistency and pulled off the record of having the highest strike rate in the history of the league. Against quality bowlers, these players have not compromised in showing class with their valiant batting nature.

Here are five batters with the highest strike rate in the history of the IPL (minimum 50 matches)

5. Glenn Maxwell

Glenn Maxwell is one of the fiercest batters in T20 Internationals and IPL due to his aggressive game style. In international cricket, he has amassed 2,159 runs in 98 T20Is at an impeccable strike rate of 150.97. Banking on the veteran’s ferocious batting attitude, Australia have assigned him the role of a match-finisher.

In the cash-rich league, he is active since 2012 and has played for Mumbai Indians (MI) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the past. Currently, he is a part of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and has scored 814 runs for them in 28 IPL contests at an impressive strike rate of 152.43.
