3. Gerald Coetzee
Gerald Coetzee did a fabulous job for South Africa in the 2023 World Cup. He bagged 20 wickets in just eight games and became the leading wicket-taker for his team. Coetzee’s World Cup performance can help him grab a huge amount in the upcoming IPL auction.
Mumbai Indians (MI) have got rid of pacers such as Jofra Archer, Chris Jordan, and Jhye Richardson before the auction and the five-time IPL champions might fetch the Protea bowler at a massive sum. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have also released Kyle Jamieson from the squad and they might also raise their bidding paddles for Coetzee.
Coetzee serves Joburg Super Kings (JSK) in the SA20 League and after witnessing his 2023 World Cup performance, the Chennai-based outlet might sign up the 23-year-old in IPL as well. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have also broken ties with Lockie Ferguson and Tim Southee, and to bolster their fast-bowling unit, the two-time IPL champions might also not hesitate to spend a big amount on Coetzee.
