As IPL enters its sixth week, let’s have a look at Indian players who struggled to deliver decent numbers to their sides.
In the fifth week of the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL), eight games were played and some out-of-form Indian players such as Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rajat Patidar regained their form and made it to the list of top-performing players of the week. Contrary to both players, some in-form Indian names put up a flop show and disappointed their sides and supporters.
With the ongoing cricketing action in IPL, Team India fans are tracking the performances of their players in the league as right after this marquee tournament, the 2024 T20 World Cup will be played in the West Indies and eyes will be set on the Rohit Sharma-led side who will look to lift the coveted trophy after 2007. As IPL enters its sixth week, let’s have a look at Indian players who struggled to deliver decent numbers to their sides.
Here is the flop India XI of the fifth week:
1. Rohit Sharma
Rohit Sharma failed to deliver a quality start to Mumbai Indians (MI) against Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. The veteran failed to tackle star RR paceman Trent Boult for the second time in the competition and returned to the pavilion in the first over of the game, after racking up only six off five with a four.
