Ishan Kishan can end up being the costliest Indian player in the IPL mega-auction. Top-order aggressive batter, southpaw and wicket-keeper - three ideal things that many franchises will be looking for in the auction. Notably, the 26-year-old was bought for INR 15.25 crore in the 2022 mega-auction and it would be surprising if he doesn’t fetch the same amount if not more.

He has played 105 matches in the IPL so far, scoring 2644 runs at a strike rate of 135.86. He is a dependable top-order batter and since many teams are looking for an opener and preferably a southpaw, he will be in demand. Rishabh Pant offers similar things and both cricketers will be in high demand in the mega-auction. Like David, MI can use their RTM on Kishan as well, who has done a commendable job for them in the last seven seasons.
