IPL 2025: Players who could score most runs for their teams

It has been two weeks since the IPL 2025 started. A total of 19 matches have taken place in the league so far. While four teams have played 3 matches each, 6 other teams have played 4 matches each. A lot of runs have been scored, and many bowlers have been impressive. DC remain the only unbeaten team in the season so far with wins in all 3 of their matches. 

Major title-winning IPL teams like MI, CSK, SRH, and KKR are not in the top 4 at this stage. However, things could change in the upcoming weeks with different players stepping up for their teams. While there are some teams which have not witnessed high class individual batting performances, it might change in the rest of the season, which could redefine the points table.

Here are the players who could score the most runs for their teams in the IPL 2025:

Chennai Super Kings - Ruturaj Gaikwad

Ruturaj Gaikwad has been CSK's leading run-scorer so far in the 18th edition of the league. In 4 innings, the CSK skipper has 121 runs at a batting average of 30.25, at a batting SR of 155.12, with a best score of 63. If he continues his form, the CSK batter should be able to be his team's highest run-scorer in the season.

Delhi Capitals - Faf Du Plessis

Faf Du Plessis has played 2 innings and scored 79 runs at a batting average of 39.50, at a batting strike rate of 175.55, with a best score of 50 against SRH. He could return to the side soon after recovering from his injury and continue to make the most of his purple patch. While there are many good DC batters, Faf could be their leading run-scorer. 

Gujarat Titans - Sai Sudharsan

Sai Sudharsan has had a very good season in the IPL 2025 so far. He is not just GT's highest run-scorer, but is also the second highest run-scorer in the league after two weeks. The Southpaw has 186 runs in 3 innings at a batting average of 62.00, at a batting SR of 157.62, with two fifty-plus scores to his name.

Kolkata Knight Riders - Angkrish Raghuvanshi

Angkrish Raghuvanshi has been the most impressive KKR batter of the season so far. While not a lot of KKR batters have been in good form, the middle-order batter has been their highest run-scorer. In 4 innings, the youngster has 128 runs at a batting average of 42.66, at a batting SR of 147.12, with a best score of 50.

Lucknow Super Giants - Nicholas Pooran

Nicholas Pooran is not just the leading contender to be LSG's leading run-scorer, but is the favorite to win the orange cap. The star batter has 201 runs in 4 innings at a batting average of 50.25, at an insane batting SR of 218.47, including 2 fifty-plus scores to his name. The Southpaw is currently the leading run-scorer of the season.

Mumbai Indians - Suryakumar Yadav

Suryakumar Yadav has been one of the less impressive MI batters in the 18th edition of the league. The aggressive batter has 171 runs in 4 innings at a batting average of 57.00, at a batting SR of 161.32, with a fifty to his name. Before the start of the season, his form was MI's biggest concern, which has turned out to be MI's biggest strength currently.

Punjab Kings - Shreyas Iyer

Shreyas Iyer has been having a blast with the bat in the IPL 2025. Iyer has been the highest run-scorer for PBKS so far and could end the season as their highest run-scorer.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru - Rajat Patidar

Rajat Patidar has been RCB's joint second-highest run-scorer in the IPL 2025 after the second week. However, he has looked to be one of their best batters in the ongoing season. Even after the added responsibilty of captaincy, Patidar hasn't faded as a batter. He has 97 runs in 3 innings at a batting average of 32.33, at a batting SR of 161.66, with a best score of 51.

Rajasthan Royals - Nitish Rana

Nitish Rana is one of the most underrated batters in the history of the league. In the ongoing season, he has batted very well for RR. The Southpaw is currently their third-highest run-scorer and has the ability to be their leading run-scorer. Rana has 112 runs in 4 innings at a batting average of 28.00, at a great batting SR of 186.66, with a best score of 81.

Sunrisers Hyderabad - Travis Head

Travis Head has been SRH's best batter in a season that hasn't gone well for them. Despite his teammates not having a great season, the Southpaw has continued his brilliant form.
