Delhi Capitals (DC) spent INR 13.75 crore to bring in the spin-bowling duo of Kuldeep Yadav (INR 13.25 crore), Vipraj Nigam (INR 50 lakh). All-rounder Axar Patel, who was appointed as the captain of the franchise ahead of the season, was retained for INR 16.50 crore. However, he hasn't been taken into consideration while evaluating the money spent on spinners by DC. While Kuldeep has fared well, Nigam has been the surprise package, as his leg-spin bowling has bamboozled some top-class batters.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) know the importance of spinners very well as their home ground - Ekana Cricket Stadium - provides a lot of help for them. They retained Ravi Bishnoi for INR 11 crore ahead of the auction. They went on to add Manimaran Siddharth (INR 75 lakh) and Digvesh Rathi (INR 30 lakh) in their lineup. Shahbaz Ahmed also joined the lineup for INR 2.30 crore.
