N Srinivasan, the former BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) president, owns the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) franchise. He is the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of India Cements. He has also served as the BCCI Secretary and later became its President, showing a deep interest in cricket from the early days.

In 2008, he made a significant move by purchasing the Chennai Super Kings franchise for $91 million. In 2022, CSK became India’s first sports unicorn, with a market capitalisation of ₹7,600 crores. As of 2025, CSK is the most valuable franchise in the IPL, with a brand valuation of $122 million, marking a 52% increase from the previous year. India Cements has also acquired cricket teams in South Africa and the USA.
