3. CM Gautam

CM Gautam played domestic cricketer from 2008-2019 and racked up 4,716 runs in 94 matches with 10 centuries and 24 half-centuries. With these figures, he established himself as a credible batter for his domestic team Karnataka. In the IPL, he was acquired by RCB in 2010 but couldn’t prove his efficiency with the bat as from 2010-2012, he didn’t find a spot in playing XI.

In 2013, he was signed by Delhi Capitals (DC) and debuted against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Sawai Mansingh Stadium on May 7, 2013. Playing his debut game, he could score only two runs in three deliveries. At the end of the season, he ended up notching up 44 runs in three matches at a dismal strike rate of 129.41. Later in the league, he also played for Mumbai Indians in 2014 but never looked impactful.

Amassing only 169 runs in 13 IPL matches at a below-par strike rate of 112.67, he disappointed all his franchises. In 2019, he was arrested on fixing charges for fixing a KPL match between Bellari Tuskers and Hubli Tigers. Since then, he has not been allowed to participate in domestic or league cricket.
