7. KL Rahul

KL Rahul has been a run-bank in the lucrative T20 tournament. He has tormented bowlers with his marauding bat and stamped his authority on the cricket field. The ace batter has featured in 116 IPL matches and accumulated 4151 runs at a strike rate of 134.55.

Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) appointed KL Rahul as the leader of the troops in IPL 2020. Though he was prolific with the bat and amassed 670 runs in 14 outings, the Indian batter was not able to lead his side to the playoffs. He also captained the team in the following season but Punjab could only manage six wins in 14 games.

Post the 2021 season, Rahul parted ways with the Punjab side. Lucknow Super Giants showed belief in the ace batter and handed the leadership duties to him. He repaid the faith of the franchise and guided Lucknow to the knockout stages. The Bangalore-born also was magnificent with the bat and smashed 616 runs in 15 games in the 15th IPL edition.
