2. David Warner
David Warner is one of the finest batters the Australian cricket has ever produced. Be it in the international arena or the Indian Premier League, the southpaw has knocked the wind out of top-quality attacks and stamped his authority on the cricket field. He has featured in 169 IPL matches and aggregated 6187 runs at a strike rate of 139.47.
Warner has also left the cricket fraternity amazed with his captaincy skills in the lucrative T20 tournament. The Paddington-born was an inspirational captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad and marshalled the franchise to glory in IPL 2016. Further, with the Australian batter in charge, Sunrisers qualified for the playoffs in the 2017 and 2020 seasons of the cash-rich league.
Barring captaining SRH, Warner has been in a leadership position in the Delhi franchise. In IPL 2013 when incumbent skipper Mahela Jayawardene was unavailable for a game, the southpaw was asked to lead the side. Also, David is the leader of the troops in the 16th edition of the cash-rich league as the designated captain Rishabh Pant is sidelined due to an injury.
