1. MS Dhoni

MS Dhoni is one of those players who have made fans sit on the edge of their seats whenever he stepped into the cricket field. The Ranchi-born has obliterated bowlers with his power-hitting might and piled on heaps of runs. He has featured in 241 matches and racked up 5039 runs at a strike rate of 135.71.

Dhoni is also an astute tactician of the game and has displayed his captaincy credentials in the IPL arena time and time again. He has piloted Chennai Super Kings to four title triumphs, making CSK the second-most successful franchise after Mumbai Indians. Also, with the wicketkeeper-batter at the helm, the Yellow Army have been runners-up on five occasions.

Moreover, Dhoni was the commander-in-chief of Rising Pune Supergiants in the 2016 season. However, the legendary cricketer was not able to weave his magic and the Pune side finished the marquee tournament in the second-last position. The 41-year-old is currently the skipper of the Chennai side and he would look to guide them to glory in IPL 2023.
