4. Narayan Jagadeesan
Narayan Jagadeesan has been a bankable name in the Indian domestic circuit. The 27-year-old has featured in 44 List-A matches and scored 2090 runs at an average of 49.76. Talking about the shortest format, he has scored 1064 runs in 51 games at a strike rate of 118.61.
Jagadeesan took the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022 by storm with his blistering performances. He put up an exhibition of his swashbuckling stroke play and smashed a staggering tally of 830 runs in eight games at a strike rate of 125.37, which includes five blistering centuries.
Jagadeesan has been in a pristine touch of late and has the versatility to play at the top order and the middle order. Also, he has a safe pair of hands behind the stumps. Therefore, when the wicketkeeper-batter went under the hammer at the auction, one anticipated teams to go all guns blazing to rope him. But there were not many bids for the Coimbatore-born and he was sold to Kolkata Knight Riders for INR 90 lakh.
