2. Daniel Sams
Daniel Sams has been a prominent figure in the T20 circuit. The 30-year-old has featured in 116 games in the shortest format and picked up 135 wickets at an economy of 8.74. Also, he has hammered 1092 runs at a stunning strike rate of 152.94. Sams has shown his might in the international arena as well. He has hammered 106 runs in 10 T20Is at a staggering strike rate of 170.96 and bagged seven wickets for Australia.
The ace all-rounder has many variations up his sleeve and batters have found him difficult to tackle, especially at the fag end of the innings. Sams has also shown his might with the new ball and provided early breakthroughs to his side. Further, he is more than handy with the bat and has shown his batting might on many occasions.
Sams, with his ability to contribute in both departments, is a valuable addition to any side. Also, him being a left-arm pacer brings variety to the bowling attack. Therefore, when the Australian all-rounder arrived at the auction, one felt that franchises would go hammer and tongs to acquire him. But the Milperra-born garnered interest from only Lucknow Super Giants and was acquired by them at his base price of INR 75 lakh.
