1. Umesh Yadav
Umesh Yadav's IPL career fell off drastically after the 2022 season. Having taken 16 wickets in the 2022 season, Umesh could only manage one in the entirety of the 2023 season.
Kolkata Knight Riders acquired the services of the right-arm pacer for 2 Crores in 2022 and Umesh rightfully repaid the trust. KKR retained the Napur-born bowler for the next season but he could not justify his hefty salary.
The 36-year-old has been released by the Kolkata franchise ahead of this year's auction given his poor performance in last season. Many thought Umesh would take a pay cut to get into the IPL 2024 auction but the former pacer chose to go with a base price of INR 2 Crore.
Given his sub-par performance in the 2023 IPL season and a huge base price alongside injury concerns, franchises might be reluctant to get Umesh Yadav into their side. As a result of this, the once Team India player might go unsold in the upcoming IPL 2024 auction.
