IPL auction 2024: 5 in-form Indian players who deserve to get picked

The 2024 edition of the IPL auction is now just a few days away. The event will happen outside India for the first time, in Dubai, on December 19. 

A total of 1166 players have registered for the auction which will be the last mini-auction before next year's mega auction. There are 77 slots up for grabs and 30 of them would be overseas players. The 10 teams can collectively spend Rs 262.95 crore.

There are many players, especially Indian talent who will be under scanner during the IPL 2024 auction. This is because they will go under the hammer after playing two domestic tournaments in limited overs format. Some are in excellent form and have done very well to put themselves in the limelight for franchises to have a look at them.

Here are the five in-form Indian players who deserve to get picked in the 2024 IPL auction:

5. Nikhil Naik

Nikhil Naik of Maharashtra has been in scintillating form in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy one-day tournament. In 7 matches, he has 257 runs with a best of 82* at an average of 128.50 and a strike rate of 124.75. He has a decent record in T20s as well, scoring 970 runs in 61 matches with a best of 95* at a strike rate of 128.13. 

Naik, a wicketkeeper-batter, can fancy his chances of a franchise picking him as keepers are always in demand. He has played 4 matches in IPL for Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings thus far.
