IPL Auction 2024: Top 5 capped players who might go unsold

1. Manish Pandey

The first Indian batter to score a century in IPL, Manish Pandey was once the next big thing in Indian cricket. His exploits in domestic cricket and initial IPL seasons got him his India debut as well. But inconsistency proved to be his kryptonite. An excellent fielder and charismatic batter, Pandey has only played 68 matches for India for over 1270 runs with one ODI century and 5 total fifties. 

In IPL, he has been a main draw with 3808 runs in 170 matches with one ton and 22 fifties. But the glaring part of his record is his strike rate of 120.97. In recent IPL seasons, Pandey’s strike rate became an issue. For DC in IPL 2023, he averaged 17.78 in 10 matches at a dismal strike rate of 109.59. His recent domestic outings have also been dismal and there is a high chance, that Manish Pandey, who once used to rule IPL batting charts, might fail to find a buyer this time around in the IPL 2024 auction.
