Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are one of the most talked about franchises in the Indian Premier League (IPL) since its inception. Currently, he holds the record of the highest wicket-taker for RCB with 139 wickets in 113 contests at an economy of 7.58 At the mega-auction 2022, Rajasthan Royals signed him for INR 6.5 crore. Appearing in a RR jersey for the first time, Chahal handled the spin attack efficiently and won the Purple Cap with 27 wickets in 17 games at an economy of 7.75.
