1. Virat Kohli
Without a doubt, Virat Kohli is the most successful batter of all time for the Royal Challengers Bangalore. The former skipper has been a run machine for the team and has made over 7000 runs while featuring in 238 games, including 15 games in the Champions League. He is the leading run-scorer for RCB and is among the two batters who have scored over 6000 runs in IPL's history.
Kohli's story in IPL started during the initial season of the league. He helped India win the Under-19 World Cup in 2008 and was a part of the Under-19 draft. Delhi Daredevils had the option to have the services of the Indian batter, but they chose to go for Pradeep Sangwan. The RCB management were quick enough to pick Kohli for USD 50,000.
During the 2011 auction, Kohli was the only player retained by RCB and was named the captain in 2013. His best performance came during the 2016 edition as he became the only batter to score over 900 runs in IPL and won the Orange Cap for the first time. Kohli left the captaincy position after the completion of the 14th season. Under his captaincy, RCB won 66 out of 140 games.
