Tattoos have a rich history and have been used for centuries to tell stories, convey beliefs, and showcase artistry.
9. Navdeep Saini {7/10}
Navdeep Saini made his first-class debut for Delhi back in 2013 but came to the limelight during the 2017-18 edition of the Ranji Trophy as he finished as the leading wicket-taker for the team. In 2017, he was rewarded with an IPL contract by Delhi Capitals (formerly known as Delhi Daredevils) but didn't get a chance to showcase his skills.
By 2018, Navdeep had already created a roar in the domestic circuit, and Royal Challengers Bangalore fought a massive bidding war to get him in the squad for INR 3 crore. He made his IPL debut in 2019 and picked 11 wickets in 13 games at an average of 36.09.
Saini has a wolf tattoo on his left forearm and explained the reason for donning the same on his T20I debut. During a post-match interview in August 2019, Saini explained that the wolf represents the fighter inside him and reminds him to always be strong and courageous.
He had picked three wickets for 17 runs against West Indies on his T20I debut and bagged the Player of the Match award. He was the sixth Indian player to win the award on debut in T20Is.
During the mega auction of 2022, Saini was picked by Rajasthan Royals for INR 2.6 crore from his base price of INR 75 lakh. He played two games for the team last season and picked three wickets at an average of 24. In his only outing this year, Saini bowled two overs and gave away 34 runs. He has taken a total of 20 wickets in 31 IPL games at an average of 46.7, economy of 8.84, and a strike rate of 31.7.
