KL Rahul is known for his stylish batting technique and has been a consistent performer in the Indian Premier League. Since 2018, Rahul has scored over 500 runs each season. He has been a part of the IPL since 2013 and has played for four teams so far. Rahul has scored 4083 runs in IPL in 115 games at an average of 46.93 and a strike rate of 135.02, including four centuries.

Rahul has multiple tattoos, including a clock and Roman numerals on his left bicep, a lighthouse on his left forearm, and a dog tattoo on his back. The lighthouse tattoo is a tribute to his roots in Mangalore. The clock tattoo on the inside of his left bicep represents his birth time at 11 o'clock, and below the clock, the Latin phrase 'Veni, vidi, vici' suggests his intention to rule the world of cricket with his bat.

He has a tattoo of the word 'Deshi Basara' on his right forearm, inspired by the 2012 Batman movie The Dark Knight Rises, which means 'to rise up.'

KL Rahul has tattoos of his test cap number '284' and his initial jersey number 'XI' on his right and left biceps, respectively. He got a tattoo of his beloved dog Simba on his back during the Sri Lanka tour in 2017. In order to make his parents happy, KL Rahul got tattoos of their names, 'Rajeshwari' on his left wrist and 'Lokesh' on his right wrist.

His left hand has an owl tattoo symbolising wisdom and understanding, while a key with ram horns on his left forearm represents his Aries star sign and a constant reminder to be optimistic toward new experiences. Rahul has an open eye tattoo on his left bicep as a tribute to his grandparents, who were important and close to him.
