2. Kolkata Knight Riders  - 76.8 million dollars

From the time Kolkata Knight Riders set foot in the IPL arena, they have always been in the limelight due to their association with the 'Badshah of Bollywood' Shahrukh Khan. But they have also created a lot of buzz with their heroics on the cricket field. 

KKR gave the Indian Premier League a perfect start as their opening batter Brendon McCullum set the stage ablaze with his breathtaking knock of 158* runs off 73 deliveries in the first game of the inaugural season against RCB.

Over the years, KKR have played some amazing cricket and emerged as one of the most successful franchises in the history of the cash-rich league, having won the IPL title in 2012 and 2014. In the 14th edition, the Kolkata franchise got to the summit clash but had to remain content with the runners-up position.

Courtesy of their magnificent displays, KKR have maintained their craze among the fans. Their perceived value increased by 16% after the 14th IPL edition and they have emerged as the second-most profitable franchise with a brand value of 76.8 million dollars.
