<h3>1. Colin Cowdrey</h3>

He featured in 692 first-class matches and amassed an insane tally of 42719 runs at an average of 42.89. The Tamil Nadu-born was sensational in the international arena too and scored 7624 runs in 114 Tests at an average of 44.06.
When England locked horns with Australia in the third Test of The Ashes in 1968 in Birmingham, Cowdrey led the way with the bat and smashed 104 runs off 247 balls in the first innings. With the ton, he became the first-ever cricketer to smash a century in his 100th game in the longest format.
Courtesy of Cowdrey’s sensational showings, the Three Lions posted 409 runs on the board. Australia in response were bowled out for 222 but managed to draw the Test. Colin last played for England in February 1975.

<h3>2. Javed Miandad</h3>

Miandad was at his best when Pakistan clashed against arch-rivals India in the third game of the four-match Test series in December 1989 in Lahore.&nbsp;
In the match, the Men in Blue batted first and posted a daunting total of 509 runs on the board while riding on Sanjay Manjrekar's superb double century (218). The Men in Green were up for the challenge. Shoaib Mohammad led Pakistan's charge with the bat and scored a prolific double-century himself (203*).
Miandad, who was playing in his 100th Test, showed his class and notched up 145 runs off 289 deliveries. Opening batter Aamer Malik too scored a well-complied century. Imran Khan &amp; co. ended up posting a mammoth total of 699 runs and the match ended in a draw.&nbsp;Miandad last donned the Pakistan jersey in March 1996.

<h3>3. Gordon Greenidge</h3>

The former West Indies batter featured in 108 Tests and scored 7558 runs at an average of 44.72. When it came to ODI cricket, he scored 5134 runs in 128 matches at an average of 45.03.
West Indies battled against England in the final game of the five-match Test series in April 1990 in St John's. After electing to bat first, the Three Lions posted 260 in their first innings.&nbsp;
Greenidge, who was playing his 100th Test started the proceedings with the bat for the West Indies alongside Desmond Haynes. The opening duo hammered England's bowling attack all around the park. They scaled their respective three-figure mark and helped Viv Richards &amp; co. post 446 runs in their first innings.
Greenidge smashed 149 runs off 207 balls. The blistering knock consisted of 18 boundaries and three maximums. After the Gordon-Haynes show, the West Indies bowlers came to the party and Richards &amp; co. won the game by an innings and 32 runs.

<h3>4. Alec Stewart</h3>

It was Stewart’s 100th Test and on the special day, he played a remarkable knock and scored 105 runs off 153 deliveries to take England to 303 runs in their first innings.
West Indies piled up 438 runs in their second innings and the Test match ended in a draw. Stewart was adjudged the Player of the Match for his astonishing knock. The Surrey-born hung his international boots in September 2003.

<h3>5. Inzamam-ul-Haq</h3>

Pakistan clashed against India in the final game of the three-match Test series in March 2005 in Bangalore (now Bengaluru). Playing in his 100th Test, Inzamam brought his A-game to the table and notched up a phenomenal knock of 184 runs off 264 deliveries, consisting of 25 boundaries. Younis Khan was also brilliant and scored 267 runs off 504 balls.
Riding on the ace batting duo’s exceptional knocks, the visitors posted 570 runs on the board. India, in response, scored 449 runs in their first innings. In the five-day tussle, Pakistan stood tall and won the game by 168 runs.&nbsp;

<h3>6. Ricky Ponting</h3>

Besides his batting might, Ponting was a phenomenal leader and guided the Aussies to two World Cup triumphs in 2003 and 2007. He was in pristine touch when Australia took on South Africa in the final game of the three-match Test series in January 2006 in Sydney.
Making his 100th Test appearance for Australia, Ponting smashed twin centuries. He notched up 120 runs off 174 deliveries in the first innings to propel his team to 359 runs. Then again in the second innings, he plundered 143* runs off 159 balls to help the Aussies chase down 287. The legendary cricketer last represented Australia in December 2012.

<h3>7. Graeme Smith</h3>

Courtesy of the Proteas trio’s spectacular performances, South Africa posted a huge total of 637 runs on the board.
Eventually, Smith &amp; co. thrashed England by an innings and 12 runs.

<h3>8. Hashim Amla</h3>

When South Africa encountered Sri Lanka in the final game of the three-match Test series in January 2017 in Johannesburg, it was the 100th match of Amla’s Test career and he was in his elements. The Durban-born racked up 134 runs off 265 balls. Jean-Paul Duminy was also in top form and scored 155 runs off 221 deliveries.
Courtesy of incredible centuries from the duo, South Africa posted 426 runs on the board. Sri Lanka, in response, were bowled out for 131 runs in the first innings and the Lankan Lions could manage merely 177 runs in the second innings. Faf du Plessis &amp; co. won the game by an innings and 118 runs.

<h3>9. Joe Root</h3>

In response, Warner led Australia’s charge with the bat and hammered the potent Proteas bowling attack all across the park. He scored a breathtaking double century, which consisted of 16 boundaries and two maximums. Riding on the veteran batter’s marvellous knock, the Aussies posted a massive total of 575 runs on the board.
After Warner's heroics, Australian bowlers wreaked havoc and bundled South Africa for 204 runs to win the game by an innings and 182 runs.
