5. Inzamam-ul-Haq
Inzamam-ul-Haq is one the finest batters to have represented Pakistan in the international circuit. The former Pakistan skipper featured in 120 matches in the longest format of the game and scored 8830 runs at an average of 49.60. In the ODIs, he accumulated 11739 runs in 378 matches at an average of 39.52.
Pakistan clashed against India in the final game of the three-match Test series in March 2005 in Bangalore (now Bengaluru). Playing in his 100th Test, Inzamam brought his A-game to the table and notched up a phenomenal knock of 184 runs off 264 deliveries, consisting of 25 boundaries. Younis Khan was also brilliant and scored 267 runs off 504 balls.
Riding on the ace batting duo’s exceptional knocks, the visitors posted 570 runs on the board. India, in response, scored 449 runs in their first innings. In the five-day tussle, Pakistan stood tall and won the game by 168 runs.
