Next week on Tuesday, December 19, the IPL 2024 auction will take place for the first time in Dubai. A total of 333 players will be auctioned off to fill 77 spots in the ten franchises. There are 214 Indians among the 333 players listed for the mini-auction, 119 from other countries, and two from partner countries.

Furthermore, 116 of the total players up for grabs are capped cricketers, while 215 are uncapped. Besides, 30 of the 77 available slots are earmarked for foreign players. Each franchise has a budget of Rs 100 crore, up from Rs 95 crore last year. The two-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders will have the most slots to fill (12), while it will be the IPL 2022 winner, Gujarat Titans, who will enter the auction with the biggest purse (38.15 crore).

Interestingly, it will be for the first time that nine players from the state of Jammu & Kashmir have been shortlisted in the final list of the IPL 2024 auction, and in this piece, let's have a look at them.

9. Manit Singh Jasrotia

The 20-year-old Manit Singh Jasrotia is a right-arm pacer. He hails from Chandwan village in Jammu’s Kathua district, boasting speeds touching 145 kph. He was a highlight in 2022 with impressive spells in the under-25 State A Trophy.
