5. Heinrich Klaasen
In South Africa’s scintillating performance so far, their batters have made a huge contribution. De Kock and Rassie van der Dussen have reinforced South Africa’s top order while on the other hand, Heinrich Klassen has played his part efficiently in the middle order. In nine outings, Klaasen has scored 326 runs at a marvellous strike rate of 140.51.
England suffered their heaviest defeat against the Proeta side at the Wankhede Stadium and the 32-year-old starred in the huge triumph with his 109-run knock off 67 deliveries. He continued his form in the next match, playing a 90-run innings against Bangladesh in Mumbai.
Klaasen’s bat has remained quiet in the last few games but in the massive semi-final contest at Eden Gardens, he will look to give a hard time to the Aussies. This year, he was also in the news for producing 174-run innings (83 balls) against the Aussies in Centurion.
