Ravindra Jadeja has strengthened India’s spin-bowling unit confidently along with Kuldeep Yadav in this World Cup. Grabbing 16 wickets in nine matches at an economy of 3.97, the 34-year-old is the highest wicket-taking spinner for India.

The Men in Blue started their campaign confidently with a six-wicket win against Australia. KL Rahul got the Player of the Match award for his 97-run innings but Jadeja emerged as an unsung hero of the game with his three-wicket haul in the one-sided encounter.

Against South Africa at Eden Gardens, the veteran exuded confidence as a batter with his 29-run innings off just 15 balls. In the second innings, Jadeja came heavily on the Protea batters, picking up a fifer. Among his five victims, South Africa’s key batting stalwarts Temba Bavuma, Heinrich Klaasen, and David Miller were included.
