Some teams are heading towards the knockout round of the ODI World Cup 2023 with confidence due to their exceptional tournament so far. However, a few sides have disappointed their supporters as they did not perform upto the expectations and are also on the brink of getting eliminated from the tournament.

It is not just teams, some players have also not justified their roles in their sides. In the competition’s third week, a lot of illustrious names failed to do their job efficiently, and talking about some, let’s have a look at the flop XI of week three of the tournament.

Here is the flop XI of the competition's third week

1. Max O’Dowd

The Netherlands have impressed cricket supporters with their spunky performances. However, their top-order batters have not played well which cost them some important games against quality teams. The Dutch opener Max O’Dowd has emerged as one of the concerns in the team.

He has scored only 61 runs in six outings at a dismal average of 10.16. In the team’s five-wicket defeat to Sri Lanka in Lucknow, the opener gave his wicket to Kasun Rajitha after scoring 16 off 27. Following this loss, the Scott Edwards-led side lost to Australia at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

The Aussies took the Dutch team’s bowling unit to the cleaners and put up 399 runs on the board. Pursuing the massive total, the Netherlands capitulated to 90 runs, and O’Dowd again looked poor, going back to the dugout with just six runs..
