11. Usama Mir

Usama Mir made his World Cup debut against Australia in Bengaluru. In the big game, Mir dropped David Warner’s catch while fielding at the mid-on. The Aussie was playing on 10 and taking advantage of the lifeline, he played a match-winning knock of 163 runs off 124 deliveries.

After the grave mistake while fielding, Mir struggled with the ball as well. In his nine overs, the leggie got Steven Smith’s scalp but splurged 82 runs at a horrendous economy of 9.11. The 27-year-old was included in Pakistan’s playing XI against the Afghan team at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.

On Chennai’s turning track, the Afghan bowlers looked remarkable while Mir couldn’t trouble the opponents. He bowled an eight-over spell in the match and gave away 55 runs. Pakistan are still alive in this competition and they will hope Mir to turn things around for them with his bowling.
