9. Haris Rauf
Haris Rauf is going through a difficult phase of his career. In this World Cup, he has consistently struggled to produce fine numbers with the ball. After the hammering from the arch-rivals India in Ahmedabad, Pakistan were looking to make a comeback against the Men in Yellow at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Winning the toss, Pakistan skipper Babar Azam invited the Aussies to bat first. On one side, Shaheen Afridi grabbed 5/54 figures in his 10 overs and showcased his class on a batting-friendly pitch while on the other side, Rauf took three wickets but leaked 83 runs in his eight overs. He gave away 24 runs in his first over and ended up as the Pakistan player to bowl the third-most expensive over in the World Cup.
Despite witnessing Rauf’s dismal bowling show, the Pakistan skipper included him in the playing XI against the Afghan side. This time, the speedster put up another disappointing show with the ball. In his side’s eight-wicket loss, he looked completely ineffective with the ball, giving away 53 runs in eight overs without picking up any scalps.
