After 16 years, Punjab’s bowling attack is looking great on paper again before the tournament. In the 2024 IPL auction held in Dubai, Kings reserved veteran Harshal's services for a hefty amount of INR 11.75 crore.

5. Sandeep Sharma’s 3/20 against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in 2017
Sandeep Sharma was the most successful bowler for Punjab in the 2017 season, picking up 17 wickets in 13 matches at an economy of 8.29. He grabbed a lot of eyeballs for his sensational spell against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium.
In favourable batting conditions against the hosts, Sandeep dismissed Bangalore’s three main batters Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli, and AB de Villiers in his four-over spell. Riding on his 3/22 figures, Punjab bundled out RCB on 119 and defended their low total of 138 successfully. The pacer also received the Player of the Match award for his stunning performance.
