<p>Marcus Stoinis made his IPL debut in 2016 for Punjab Kings (PBKS). Playing his maiden season, the&nbsp;<strong>Australia</strong> all-rounder registered his best bowling figures against the defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium.</p>
<p>Batting first after winning the toss, MI lost their top-order batters Unmukt Chand, Ambati Rayudu, and Rohit Sharma within 10 overs. Mumbai found themselves in trouble when Stoinis wreaked havoc on their middle order. The speedster got the prized scalps of Nitish Rana, Jos Buttler, Krunal Pandya, and Kieron Pollard.</p>

As a senior bowler, the veteran couldn’t do wonders for the team but against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, he exuded confidence with the ball and recorded his IPL career’s one of the best performances.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Defending a mammoth total of 193, Punjab folded SRH on 121 due to Balaji’s 4/13 bowling figures in four overs. Among his four victims, three were SRH’s key batters Aaron Finch, David Warner, and Darren Sammy. At the end of the contest, Glenn Maxwell became the Player of the Match for his 95-run innings off 43 balls but Balaji’s commendable bowling display won numerous hearts.</p>

Until the 16th over of the second innings, Delhi were in a comfortable position in the game as they needed 23 off 21 with seven wickets in hand.</p>
<p>However, Mohammed Shami, who was bowling his third over, got rid of Rishabh Pant and displayed his fighting spirit.
