2. Abishek Porel

Abishek Porel started IPL 2025 as Delhi Capitals' (DC) No. 3 batter but has moved up to open the batting after Faf du Plessis suffered an injury. The Bengal wicketkeeper-batter is easy on the eye and relies on timing to hit his boundaries. He also has the ability to pierce gaps on the off-side, especially inside the powerplay.
While Porel might not get into India's full-strength squad as yet, he could be given opportunities at times when the senior players are not in the side. He hasn't been used too much as a wicketkeeper by DC as KL Rahul is donning the gloves. However, he is a very skilful wicketkeeper, having the ability to take flying catches and effect lightning-fast stumping. Porel has scored 225 runs from eight innings at an average of 32.14 and a strike rate of 146.11.
