The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have been one of the most dominant teams in IPL history, with five titles under their belt. The first one came in 2010, followed by a second one in 2011, then in 2018, 2021, and 2023, all under the captaincy of MS Dhoni. The first title came against the Mumbai Indians (MI), who also have five titles. Under MS Dhoni, the Chennai-based franchise has been one of the most dangerous teams in the IPL in the 15 seasons that they have played.

They have qualified for the playoffs in 12 seasons and have qualified for the finals on 10. Out of these 10 finals, they have five titles. This shows the dominance of the Yellow Army in the league. Apart from that, they have two Champions League titles as well. In this article, we will rank all five IPL titles they have won so far.

Here is the ranking of CSK's IPL titles:

For the first time in IPL history, CSK defended their IPL title in 2011. They defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) by 58 runs to win their second title of the league. It was Murali Vijay's explosive knock of 95 runs off 52 balls that helped CSK post 205 runs on the board. To everyone's surprise, RCB were bowled out for 147 runs, and the credit goes to Ravichandran Ashwin's astounding bowling performance (4-0-16-3).

In that season, the Super Kings dominated the other teams and finished in second place in the points table with nine wins. They played against RCB twice, once in Qualifier 1 and then in the finals, and were victorious. This win is rated as number five because it was a one-sided contest.
