<p style="text-align: justify;">Team India’s T20 World Cup jersey, designed by Adidas, was dominated by the iconic blue, but the jersey also had a share of saffron hue on the shoulders and sleeves, displaying the energy and passion of Indian cricket. A tricolour stripe on the shirt collar celebrates India’s national pride, while three distinctive white stripes around the shoulders, were to showcase the maker’s signature design.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">This jersey holds even greater significance as <strong><a href="https://www.crictracker.com/cricket-teams/india/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">India</a></strong>, under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy, ended an 11-year ICC title drought, winning the T20 World Cup in 2024. The jersey was crafted with sustainability in mind, as it was made from 100% recycled materials and featured Adidas’ HEAT.RDY technology for breathability and comfort.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">"There would be nothing better than using the Indian Cricket Team’s jersey as a canvas to tell a story. We didn’t want to put random graphics or shapes. We wanted to narrate the crafts and culture of India. We looked at a bunch of different crafts and felt that Ikat was a textile technique. We needed another layer of narrative, hence we added how fierce the tiger is when it’s out there as it’s the national animal, so we brought the stripes of tiger, again using Ikat,” Aaquib Wani, designer of the Indian cricket team’s jersey said.</p>
