The Australian cricket team will consider itself fortunate as someone like Adam Gilchrist served their team for 12 years from 1996-2008 magnificently and broke into record books with his numerous achievements. In ODI cricket, he is the second-leading run-getter for the Aussies, notching up 9595 runs in 286 matches.
Apart from batting, he was also extraordinary with his keeping gloves. The star cricketer was the second most successful stumper in the format, with 472 dismissals in 281 innings. Discussing his record in all formats, he holds the second position on the chart of the best keepers, with 905 hunts in 485 innings of 396 games.
