3. Virat Kohli has smashed the most 50-plus scores in Australia in T20I format

When it comes to difficult situations, Kohli always put his best performance which has earned him a name, chase-master. Australian pitches are considered as heaven for the seam bowlers but the Indian star has always loved playing against the best opponents.

Prior to the tournament, Kohli had scored five 50-plus scores in T20I format and very few predicted that he will score four more half-centuries in a single tournament. But the Indian batter smashed four 50-plus in the T20 World Cup 2022 tournament and surpassed Australian veterans David Warner and Aaron Finch (both eight 50-plus scores) to score the most 50-plus scores on Australian soil.

It is a big achievement for any non-Australian cricketer to score the record 50-plus scores in T20I cricket on bowling-friendly Australian pitches. Kohli has now amazed 747 runs in 17 T20Is at an average of 74.70 and a strike rate of 141.20 in Australia.
