T20 World Cup 2022: 5 longest sixes in history of mega event
T20 World Cup 2022 will see some of the most feared strikers of the game take center stage.
2. Liam Livingstone (112 m)
Liam Livingstone in T20 cricket has established his reputation for biffing the ball against impactful bowlers. His ability to smash sixes effortlessly makes him one of the most dangerous batters in the shortest format of the game. While playing against South Africa in T20 World Cup 2021, the right-handed English batter showcased his power hitting ability by striking bowlers mercilessly.
While facing South Africa’s prime bowler, Kagiso Rabada, Livingstone smacked him for two massive sixes. One of the hits that went over square leg covered a distance of 112 meters, and shattered the record of Russell’s maximum of 111 meters, struck in the same edition against Mitchell Starc of Australia.
With the jaw-dropping six, Livingstone currently stands at no two on the list of hitting one of the longest sixes in the history of the event.
