1. Yuvraj Singh (119 m)
In the first edition of the T20 World Cup in 2007, Yuvraj played a key role in helping India lift the trophy. With his match-winning knocks, he paved way for India’s victories in the competition. In the same edition, the left-hander also showed that hitting long sixes in T20 is just a cup of tea for him.
Against England, his record of the fastest-ever half-century in T20Is, with help of six sixes in an over hit the papers. But his crucial 70 run-knock off 30 balls against Australia in the semi-finals of that edition holds a special place in the record books as the Southpaw in that game registered the record of hitting the longest six in the history of T20 World Cups.
Facing the Australian spearhead Brett Lee on the last delivery of the tenth over, Yuvraj smashed Lee’s delivery over square leg, which cleared the stands and became the largest maximum of the tournament by covering a distance of 119 meters. India with his heroics sealed the match by defeating the Men in Gold and Green by 15 runs.
